TAO Addressing Difficult Topics

December 6, 2018 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

TAO is hosting periodic CEO only sessions in Portland and providing a safe space for those interested in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts, but are unsure where to start when it comes to advocating for it within your tech company. This will be the second session over this year to help train CEOs – in a safe space surrounded by their peers – on how to access resources outside of their respective companies that can provide effective ways on moving the needle-related to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion efforts.

This exclusive session is for technology leaders in support of helping them address difficult topics within their company or department. Our facilitator, Kory Murphy will share a framework that provides leaders some tools and methods to create a culture that allows people to engage and participate in what many see as difficult topics, including sexual harassment, sexism, and diversity and inclusion. The Multnomah County IT Department has been using this framework for over 2 years and seen impressive results for their team – both personally and professionally.

This event is for CEOs and GMs at tech companies with limited seats available. If you are unsure of your eligibility for this event, please email Theresa Jelderks at theresa.jelderks@techoregon.org
