Hemp- Hemp -Hooray WIN

March 6, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Did you know any of this about hemp?
  • While many of hemp’s uses are still unknown, researchers estimate what is grown now will only meet about 2% of potential global demand
  • OSU’s new Global Hemp Innovation Center combines 40 scientists from 19 disciplines at 10 research centers statewide and in three other countries. It is the largest comprehensive hemp research center in the nation
  • Researchers estimate that there are more than 25,000 uses for hemp.
  • In 2018, Oregon CBD sold about 30,000 acres worth of hemp seed. Co-owner Seth Crawford hopes to sell 150,000 acres by next year
  • As of mid-May 2019, the state has licensed 1,342 growers to plant 46,219 acres this year, according to the Oregon Department of Agriculture. That’s up from 7,808 acres in 2018

At the March WiN PubTalk you’ll learn all about these facts and so much more.  We have some awesome panelists lined up.

The event starts at 6 PM, doors open at 5:30. $20 for non-WiN members.

You can buy a WiN membership and save big money while supporting innovation in the Mid-Willamette Valley region.
