FSMA Round Table Undeclared Allergens

Undeclared allergens are the No. 1 cause of recalls, which can have a devastating impact on the manufacturer – not to mention lead to very serious or fatal health risks to consumers. The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) emphasizes preventive control of allergen hazards – including undeclared allergens. These undeclared allergens could be misbranded, but often they were never supposed to be in the product in the first place. The unanticipated allergens may be introduced via a variety of pathways, but most involve some type of accidental cross-contact.

Talk with Wildtime Foods about their own allergen management journey – including lessons learned, best practices realized, and resources found – and share your own story and questions! You needn’t be a food safety expert; you just have to be willing to join the conversation and share your experience with your colleagues in the industry. The event is relatively informal and features snacks and a great time!
