While some workplace stress is normal, excessive stress can interfere with productivity and performance, impact physical and emotional health, and affect relationships and home life. It can even determine success or failure on the job.

High levels of stress in the workplace can lead to:

  • Poor decision-making by individuals.
  • An increase in mistakes, which in turn may lead to customer or client complaints. This is likely to produce more stress.
  • Increased sickness and absence, with ongoing costs to the organisation.
  • High staff turnover.

Whatever work demands, there are steps your employees can take to protect themselves from the damaging effects of stress. Come be a part of the conversation with Technology Association of Oregon and SAIF at a Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, December 18th from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm to find out what individuals can do to help them to cope with workplace stress, and what employers can do to reduce and manage employee stress, improve job satisfaction, and bolster well-being in and out of the workplace.
